Privacy Policy

We're a small family-run rental, not a giant corporation. We only collect what we need to host you well, we keep it safe, and we never sell it. If you ever want your info gone, just email us and it's gone.

When you book or contact us, we collect:

• Your name, email, and phone number
• Booking details — check-in and check-out dates, number of guests and pets, any notes you share with us
• Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank info. Stripe sends us a confirmation that payment was successful and the last four digits of the card so we can reference your transaction.
• Messages you send through our contact form

Your booking and contact information lives in a secure database hosted on Supabase, protected by row-level security policies so only authorized hosts can access it. Payment data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor — it never touches our servers.

We use your information only to:

• Process your booking and payment
• Send booking confirmations, pre-arrival details (like door code and WiFi), and a friendly post-stay note
• Reach out if there's a question or issue with your stay
• Improve the guest experience — for example, knowing pets are coming so we leave out treats

We never sell your information. We never share it with third parties for marketing. We don't send you spam. The only third parties that touch your data are the services that make your booking work: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), and Resend (sending you emails). Each is bound by their own privacy practices.

We use a small amount of essential cookies and local storage to keep the site working (for example, to remember if you're in the middle of a booking). If we ever add analytics to understand which pages guests find helpful, we'll use a privacy-respecting tool that doesn't track you across the web, and we'll update this page when we do.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Just email esperanzahospitality@gmail.com and we'll remove your records, except for what we're legally required to keep for tax or accounting reasons (basically, the receipt). You can also ask us for a copy of what we have on file, or have us correct anything that's wrong.

This site is for grown-ups making bookings. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we ever update how we handle your information, we'll change the date at the top of this page and post the new version here. Material changes will be called out clearly.

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
